Catholic Marriage Preparation for English Speakers

You have decided to invite God into your relationship and to celebrate your commitment to each other with your loved ones. We are happy to walk with you as you prepare for this important step in your lives.

Below you will find an overview of your marriage preparation. The materials are divided into five separate parts to make them easier to use.

Steps to Complete

1. Required paperwork
Follow the instructions provided by the pastor of the church where your wedding will take place. Completing the paperwork is your responsibility. Please let Fr. Paweł know if you encounter any difficulties. The wedding cannot take place until all required paperwork has been completed.

2. Understanding Catholic marriage
Fr. Paweł will meet with you for two meetings. Before the first meeting you will also be asked to write and submit your reflections on the following questions in the Questionnaire within Priority Area 1: Catholic Marriage.

3. Reflecting on your readiness for marriage
Further information and instructions will be provided during your marriage preparation.

4. Natural Family Planning (NFP)
Further information and instructions will be provided during your marriage preparation.

5. Planning the wedding
Contact the priest who will celebrate your wedding and schedule an appointment well in advance. Look for the MARRIAGE PREPARATION P. 5/5 post for more practical tips.
